Full 4th Class TSBC accredited and PTIB certified power engineering course.
Our co-operative style power engineering courses combine classroom-based education with practical work experience, including firing time.
Complete course of 12 months consists of:
- 600 hours of classroom time
- 400 hours of laboratory time
- 1000 hours of practical experience
Theoretical, technical, and practical knowledge will be gained in:
- Steam Plant Operations and Processes
- Maintenance
- Steam Engineering
- Fluid Mechanics
- Technical Communications
- Basic Instrumentation
- Industrial Electronics

Firing Time/Classes for qualified or partly qualified students
Skeena Technical School offers courses and “firing time” hands on practical experience. These practicum only opportunities are for students who have completed their classroom based training elsewhere but who need more practical firing time hours to gain challenge their BCSA certification

Skeena Technical School Courses may also change as necessary for the job market, for budgetary reasons; or to withdraw an offer of admission at any time by an applicant or student because of insufficient applications or registrations, over-acceptance of offers of admission, budgetary constraints, and for other such reasons.
Course curriculum may also change and will consistently be in response to SOPEEC and TSBC.
In the event the Skeena Technical School exercises such a right, Skeena Technical School’s sole liability will be the return of monies paid by the applicant or student to the School.
Unless otherwise stated, students must complete the program of study within four years maximum of being admitted to the program.
